E
xciting new developments are on the horizon at
the Perot Museum as it unveils the reimagined
Moody Family Children’s Museum. The expansion
of the hall from a 6,250-square-foot area to nearly
11,000 square feet includes a complete transformation
of the space, completely reimagining this popular
attraction to meet growing demand. The redesign
incorporates innovative features and interactive
elements to create a more engaging visitor
experience. The new hall will stimulate imagination,
foster creativity, spark wonderment, and encourage
discovery and exploration in an imaginative, openworld universe, offering a truly unique and exciting
experience for all.
The transformation, four years in the making,
represents the culmination of exceptional talent and
vision, bringing together Bruns, with its 70 years of
international museum expertise in making stories
tangible, and Amsterdam-based NorthernLight,
marking its 昀椀rst U.S. project. The Perot Museum team,
led by Mike Spiewak, vice president of exhibits, and

Drex Owusu, chief learning of昀椀cer, managed and
directed this ambitious project as they worked to
create a space focused on curiosity and joy.
The reimagined space features a completely
cushioned wonderland for toddlers, including tactile
adventures and soft-sculpted landscapes; a brand-new
outdoor adventure zone, including a waterfall 昀氀owing
into a playful water table; a magical Imaginarium
with stunning digital experiences; a spectacular
textile climbing structure crafted by renowned artist
Toshiko Horiuchi MacAdam; and countless other new
opportunities for discovery!
This visionary redesign represents a fundamental shift
in how the Perot Museum engages with its youngest
visitors. When visitors experience the reimagined
Children’s Museum, they’ll discover a space where
science becomes an adventure, curiosity is celebrated,
and every child is empowered to explore, create, and
discover without boundaries.
