Discovery Camps
Discovery Camps at the Perot Museum transform summer
into an adventure of scienti昀椀c exploration! From June
through August, children K-12 can dive into nine different
STEM-focused camps, each designed to spark curiosity
through hands-on learning experiences. Supported by
Wingstop Charities, these weeklong programs bring science
to life with engaging activities and fun themes that inspire
young minds. The Perot Museum’s commitment to nurturing
the next generation of STEM leaders creates an environment
where discovery and excitement go hand in hand, making
learning a truly memorable experience for all campers.
National Geographic
Live Speaker Series

National Geographic Explorer in Residence
(Wits University)
Each year, the Museum hosts a three-part National
Geographic speaker series where international explorers
amaze and inspire public audiences with tales of their
breathtaking adventures, incredible discoveries, and
admirable dedication to protecting the world’s wildlife.
The 2024 lineup included Dr. Lee Berger sharing his
explorations into human origins in the “Cave of Bones,”
aerospace engineer Tracy Drain on how space exploration
is rewriting our understanding of the universe, and
paleontologist Dr. Lindsay Zanno on how T. rex became
the apex predator in North America 66 million years ago.
Thursdays on Tap
Our popular adults-only Thursdays on Tap series ran from
April through October 2024, offering exceptional evenings
for visitors 21 and over to explore the Museum’s wonders
at night. Guests enjoyed live music, food trucks, adult
beverages, and engaging outdoor games — all against
the backdrop of our captivating exhibits. This special
program grants full access to the Museum, including all
exhibit halls and traveling exhibitions. Thursdays on Tap
serves as the perfect setting for a memorable date night,
a distinctive meetup with friends, or a new gathering
spot for coworkers, offering an unconventional museum
experience that combines culture, cuisine, and connection
in one unforgettable evening.
